Slater Emergency Medical Services

Slater EMS is a volunteer non-transport service licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician EMT level of operation.  Many of our members hold higher levels of care as they share their time and experience with our service.  We are very fortunate to have these experience people who are willing to respond to medical emergencies when they happen.

Volunteers are alway in short supply.  Consider joining our group and help your neighbors in their time of need.

The State of Iowa has a lateral path for RN’s, PA’s and NP’s to function in the EMS capacity.  EMT classes are held regularly at Mary Greeley Medical Center and DMACC.  Tuition assistance is available from the City with a required time of service for our community.
