Animal Control

The City of Slater does not have an Animal Services Department.; however, we can provide you with the following information.

• Regarding domestic animal nuisance complaints, such as barking dogs or dogs running loose, please call City Hall at 515-685-2531.
• If you need assistance/guidance on what to do about nuisance wildlife (fox, raccoon, etc.) on or near your property, D.C. Critter Control is the only business we are aware of that handles wildlife. Their number is 515-352-0559 (cell) or 515-352-3698 (home).
