Building Permits & Inspections
The City of Slater strives to assist residents and contractors with construction projects in an efficient and accountable manner. The City is responsible for issuing construction permits and contracts with Safe Building in Polk City for inspection services.
To obtain a permit for residential or commercial work, please download the forms below or contact City Hall and we will be happy to provide the necessary paperwork.
Where to Submit Your Permit
Please submit your permit application directly to City Hall unless it is new construction.
For new construction, please contact Safe Building directly at the email listed below.
Payments
Permit payments are made directly to City Hall. You may:

Mail a check to City Hall

Drop off payment with your permit application

Pay online with a card using the link below.
Inspections
Inspections are conducted by Safe Building. Once your permit is approved and work begins, inspections must be scheduled as required throughout the project.
